Also, RCLDesigngirl's right, her Nuggets post is awesomely informative. I love all the theories, conspiracies and speculations going on about "Lost." I actually found a video of that brainwashing scene played backwards - it's seriously creepy.

I'm really curious as to what Tom meant when Jack asked him why they didn't take Ben to the mainland for surgery, and then Tom said, "Well, when the sky turned purple..." but didn't finish.

What would the sky turning purple have to do with Ben getting to the mainland? More importantly, they'd already taken Jack prisoner when the sky turned purple, so they already KNEW they needed Jack beforehand.

Yes, I want to know the end of that sentence too. I also want to know how close the mainland is!!! And I agree 100% that they definitely knew they needed Jack way before stuff started happening in The Swan.
