This is the email I got from Viridian1's sister:
Dear everyone,
Here is [Viridian1] nuggets that she has learned listening to the pod cast, in her car, on the way to new Orleans to fire a stupid person today, as transcribed by [me, her sister].
(RCL- please post on pop sugar on Viridian1's behalf.)
1. (this is already on pop sugar) the song playing on the radio when Hurley is working on the car as a small child and is by 3 dog night, and is called ‘shllahsmama?’ (something or rather) which was also playing on the 8 track player on the VW van when they got it started à the significance of this song – “shahdhasdh” (the song title) stands for a Buddhist mystical kingdom in the Himalayas. (Remember end of season 2 the guys in the bunker in the snow- they were in the middle of the mountains!!! They could have been in the middle of the Himalayas !!!?!) The society is a place of peace, tranquility and happiness. Believed to be a society where all inhabitants are enlightened.
2. the motor cycle on which Hurley’s father leaves on was a Yamaha- the y and the last a were removed from the motorcycle itself- the significance is either:
a.) legal ramifications for using a brand on TV (general consensus is that this is doubtful)
b.)(more popularly accepted thought on the matter) the word left over “amah” in Hong Kong there is a naturally occurring rock that resembles a human woman holding something- its Tibet/Buddhism- the story behind it is is that this woman went to the cliffs/ocean everyday carrying their son to wait for her fisherman husbands return, not knowing he had drowned at sea. The goddess of the sea rewarded her faithfulness to her husband by turning her into stone at the side of the ocean so that they could be reunited forever in the afterlife.
3. The candy bar that Hurley’s dad gives him is a Glacier Bar. Why was it not an Apollo bar?? (They found a box of them in the hatch, they plug them in ads in the soccer field, etc…) this is the question out there on the internet currently- the answer is because!!! When they found the box in the hatch, Hurley says “Apollo? I have never heard of these before.” –the dads candy was not an Apollo bar for the mere fact that when they found the box in the swan station he said that, and so far there is no other significance to this brand.
4. The boss at Mr. Clucks was randy, who was also john lockes boss at the box company.
5. the dharma road map inside the VW van contains a very detailed look at the swan station; they think it was not necessarily a map of a road they were building but a map of how to get to the swan station.
THIS WEEK ON LOST:
Syiad-centric episode; ‘enter 77’? ‘Or inter77’ does he have to enter 77 into the computer?
Syiad, locke, investigate a strange structure and its inhabitants. (the eye patch man)
Who is he?:
Maybe its Jacob? (they think there is a physical Jacob. He is the leader of the 12 tribes of Israel / he is the leader of the dharma thing?)
Maybe it won't be as important as we think?
Maybe rasinski? Who had his eye shot out?? (does anyone remember who that is????- because we don’t [we, meaning Viridian1 and her sister])
The preview said something about ‘the decision one of the castaways makes’ : they speculate that the decision is the one that locke made not to push the button. We will start learning the repercussions of that and there is not a new decision that will be made this week.
Alexander McQueen
